  • As a Team Member at Roadchef you will have a real passion for serving customers face to face, or indeed working hard behind the scenes to ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently every single day.

    Our brands are certainly impressive from McDonald's and Costa to WHSmith and Days Inn, not to mention our own catering brands The Burger Company, Hot Food Co. and Restbite. As a result, you will need the right mix of skills ranging from a willingness to learn and bags of enthusiasm, to experience of customer service in a retail or catering environment.

    As a Roadchef fastlane Manager, you will work alongside the existing Roadchef Management Team, helping to set targets, manage budgets and control stock, as well as assisting in the recruitment, training and leadership of Team Members.

    As with all roles in a service environment you will need to demonstrate a range of abilities and behaviours, which are vital to delivering great products and great service.

  • Team Member

    All of our Team Member roles will require you to work as part of the site team to ensure the unit runs well and you provide a great service to all customers by serving them in an efficient manner. As a Team Member you would be required to undertake some or all of the following activities depending on the unit you work in:

    Cashiers – Retail & Catering Units

    Great customer service skills are essential as is an attention to detail and accuracy. Your role is to provide our customers with a positive greeting, ensure they’ve got everything they need for their journey and above all else give a warm smile.

    Front Counter Server / Platers / Baristas

    Your role is to ensure that all food and drinks served to our customers meet the required standard. You’ll also ensure that the displays in our fridges and hot counters are fully stocked and of the right quality.

    Cooks

    This is a key role in our business as a lot of the food we serve is made, baked and prepared in our kitchens. Therefore it’s important that not only is the food cooked to the brand standard and specification, but the strictest health & food safety procedures are followed.

    Days Inn Hotel

    Working in the hotel can involve a combination of housekeeping duties as well as providing a warm greeting to our guests on the reception.

    Facilities

    Our facilities teams ensure that our public areas are clean and well maintained whether this be our table clearers, pot wash or grounds and maintenance staff.

    Supervisors – Retail and Catering

    To support our Unit Managers, our Supervisors will ensure that the shift runs smoothly and our customers have a positive experience.
