• Roadchef Norton Canes rated England’s best motorway service area

Our Norton Canes service area on the M6 Toll has been rated as the country’s best in the latest Transport Focus consumer survey, following a multi-million pound investment programme at the site, which saw numerous new facilities introduced for motorists.

Since 2017, the site has undergone an extensive redevelopment to introduce the world’s largest Costa Coffee, plus a Costa Drive-Thru and the first LEON restaurant on the UK motorway, among a variety of other shops, restaurants and refurbished facilities on offer.

The survey carried out by the independent transport user watchdog Transport Focus asked 9,600 customers about their experience at 111 motorway services across England. Roadchef Norton Canes on the M6 Toll achieved a 100% customer satisfaction rating, ranking it number one of all the sites surveyed.

We also secured a further two places in the top ten, with Roadchef Stafford Southbound in at number two with a 99% customer satisfaction rating and Roadchef Killington Lake in a joint ninth position, also with a 99% customer satisfaction rating.

Liane Stubbs, Site Director for Norton Canes, said: “We are absolutely delighted that our site has been voted number one by the people who matter most, our customers. Norton Canes is a leading example of the innovation and investment that Roadchef puts into its MSAs, making it a treasured site for customers and team members alike. This accolade is testament to the passionate and caring team who work tirelessly to ensure customers have an excellent experience each and every time they visit us.”

Roadchef’s CEO Mark Fox added: “As a company, we’re honoured that Norton Canes has been rated number one MSA in England. It’s excellent recognition for all the investment that has gone into the area, not to mention all our incredible team members who work together as a family to bring the site to life and make it a pleasure to visit.”
