All Roadchef motorway services are open 24/7, 365 days a year to ensure that we’re here all hours to give you access to essential facilities at any time of the day.

Whilst our brand timings may vary, you can grab a McDonald’s at Roadchef 24 hours a day , whilst our WHSmith stores are open all day too. Our award-winning toilets, accessible facilities, and Changing Places are available 24/7/365 too, for whenever you need to relieve yourself.

We’re committed to providing bigger, better, greener and safer journeys to all kinds of travellers, all year round.

HGV Drivers will find our shower units ready at all hours to refresh. Pet owners will find our free water bowls available 24/7. You’re guaranteed a comfortable, warm, and relaxing place to rest your feet every day, all year round.

Plus, all Roadchef sites are pet-friendly too - meaning you can bring your dog in for a rest stop whilst you do the same.

Early Riser Essentials: 5 AM – 11 AM

They still say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day - and we’d agree.

Across our 31 sites, you’ve got a variety of breakfast options to choose from. Freshly baked pastries and your favourite barista-made hot drinks are available at Costa Coffee , a variety of McDonald’s iconic breakfast dishes can be purchased until 11am, whilst twelve of our sites boast LEON units with their range of healthy dishes including porridge, muffins and more.

For those wanting something more; our own-brand options on-site offer full English breakfasts or classic baps - sausage, bacon, egg or a mix of all three, the choice is yours.

There’s a range of vegetarian and plant-based options at all brands too - Halloumi and Avocado Muffin from LEON, anyone?

Of course, Costa Coffee is available at all 31 Roadchef sites to give your morning that hand-crafted caffeine boost with your favourite hot and iced drinks, made with heart.

For a traditional morning, bring your own slippers and grab one of your daily newspapers from WHSmith. 

Our two hours of free parking means you can take your time - relax, unwind and recharge yourself into the day and journey ahead.

Those two hours can be perfected by doing National Highways’ TRIP checks. Check your vehicles oil, tyre pressures, oil levels, washer level and fuel levels.

Recharge & Refuel for the afternoon ahead. 11 AM – 5 PM

The afternoon recharge begins at Roadchef - in all senses of the word.

With high-powered EV chargers offering up-to-360kW, you can give your battery a boost whilst giving yourself a much-needed Costa Coffee boost to get over that afternoon slump.

For lunch, there’s a massive variety to choose from tasty treats to filling dishes.

Our WHSmith Meal Deal gives you the variety to build your own for just £5.99. Whether it’s ham-and-cheese or egg-and-cress, choose from a range of great sandwiches, snacks and a drink for a bargain price.

Talking of sandwiches, Roadchef has recently partnered with Co-op for the perfect pitstop and their range of Irresistible sandwiches. Once you’ve finished your generously filled luxury lunch, grab one of Co-op’s Irresistible pizza range to enjoy when you get home.

Whilst you’re on the move though, we’ve got a variety of affordable, tasty meals to grab-and-go to enjoy from some of the UK’s biggest brands.

Iconic classics from McDonald’s, Mediterranean meals that are good for you from LEON, Asian-inspired classics from Chozen Noodle - whatever you choose, wherever you are.

Throughout your entire journey, our recycling bins make sure that none of your waste goes to landfill.

Evening & Night (Rest & Recharge: 5 PM – Late)

Well-lit walkways guide your journey to our 24/7 McDonald’s at thirty Roadchef sites alongside many other brands that are till late, we’re here to fuel your journey directly via your stomach.

Our WHSmith stores are open all hours too for all those key travelling essentials, sandwiches, sweet treats, drinks, Costa Express coffee and - of course - magazines and books.

If you’re travelling after hours, our hotels at seventeen locations across the UK offer affordable comfort from just £40. Choose from Days Inn by Wyndham hotels or the UK’s only pair of Super 8 by Wyndham hotels.

Of course, for those late-night travellers and HGV Drivers stopping for a sleep, our shower facilities are open 24/7 for a refresh before a night’s rest in your cab.

Putting Your Safety First at Roadchef

The RAC recommends breaks every two hours - to reduce fatigue and give those tired eyes a well-deserved rest from the road. It’s believed that allowing the brain to switch between a state of focus and a state of relaxation improves productivity and reduces tiredness and overload.

With 31 locations across the UK, you can easily plan your breaks on your journey and unwind in a comfortable chair with a Costa Coffee in hand.

You may have seen that we’re investing heavily in our EV charging infrastructure, with the addition of hundreds of high-powered chargers to Roadchef motorway services in key locations over the last two years alone.

It’s not just journeys we’re making green though; our main amenity buildings are making it easier to be green too.

At all 31 locations, we’re working with key partners to make sure your food and coffee is sustainably sourced, your waste doesn’t go to landfill and you have options to make your next drive better for the environment.

Roadchef is committed to reducing our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 100% by 2040 and targeting a 90% reduction in our Scope 3 emissions just a decade later. You can check out our full sustainability plans here.

Whilst we’re hard at work reducing our carbon emissions, we’re making it easy for you to make little changes too.
