Roadchef Announces Latest Addition To Main Board

Leading motorway service area operator Roadchef has announced that Laura Bunn has been promoted to HR Director and will be taking a position on the company’s Board. With her new position, Laura aims to continue making strides in Roadchef’s people-first approach to ensure that the company continues to strengthen its status as an employer of choice.
As both the first female and HR representative on the Board, the appointment also reflects the company’s goal to increase diversity at all levels and increase female representation, something that Laura is personally passionate about. This change, with Board members having different perspectives, challenges and approaches, will ensure that Roadchef is looking at things from a fully rounded perspective.
Laura started her career in HR over 20 years ago, working for the NHS in an HR administration support role and completing her CIPD at Coventry University whilst working part time. Since then, she has worked in a diverse range of sectors including healthcare, defence, energy and logistics - working for major brands including Molson Coors Brewing, E.ON and Bupa.
Joining Roadchef eight years ago, Laura has been integral in building the company’s Employee Value Proposition. Highlights during her tenure including the receipt of IIP Gold and Best Companies accreditation from 2014 to the present, which helped to position Roadchef within the 25 Best Large Companies to Work For in 2020/21. Embodying the company values, she has delivered robust internal development programmes that has resulted in high internal promotion rates, with a number of employees starting their careers as Team Members and working their way up to senior leadership positions.
