Super 8 By Wyndham Searches For Head Of Dog Satisfaction Amid Hotel Opening.

Ahead of opening the doors to a new hotel in Durham, Roadchef have launched a campaign to look for prospective paws to fill the role of Head of Dog Satisfaction.

The new appointment will work with the kitchen team on treat innovation, a walking programme to minimise travel stress and housekeeping to meet the comfort needs of four-legged guests travelling up and down the country during long journeys.

Research shows over a third (37%) of dog-owning drivers find that travelling with their pets can be a challenging experience. Along with two other dog satisfaction associates, the shortlisted dog and its owner will be invited to stress-test the new hotel. The valuable feedback will help improve the venue’s offering as a place for pups to rest, refuel and recharge.

Laura Bunn, HR Director at Roadchef, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned four-legged traveller to join Roadchef as we grow our motorway service accommodation across the country. We are committed to supporting Britain’s dogs on their travels, and this latest Super 8 hotel will provide a much-welcomed place for canines and their owners to relax. Having an experienced team member on board will ensure we successfully cater to dogs and their owners and minimise the stress of short and long car journeys.”

Close to the Beamish Museum, Durham Cathedral, and the University of Durham, the Super 8 hotel in Durham is located halfway between Sunderland and Darlington on the A1. The hotel offers comfortable accommodations at an affordable rate, with transport links to the city centre and Durham train station.
