Festival season is upon us - and it’s time to have some memorable moments, soundtracked by some of your favourite artists.
But summer festivals are more than just an excuse to party and muddy fields - sorry Download Festival 2024, we’re looking at you! The journey to the festival - where spirits are high and the car is full - and the journey home - where you’re desperately trying to beat the post-festival blues by listening to the headliners set on repeat - are equally as important.

A classic - you’re a seasoned veteran and no festival would be the same without you. Your journey is filled with those iconic hits from yesteryear that never go out of date.
Plus, you’ve got your trusty wellies, which are still covered in last year’s festival mud, are ready and waiting in your boot, just in case the rain starts.
And, of course, you're listening to music 24/7 (which is the same amount of hours our McDonald's units are open.)

All about the vibes; you’ve got your light up angel wings, 1970s-Stevie Nicks-style floaty dresses and sparkly face paint adorning your temple - hopefully it’ll come off in time before you go back to work!
You’re ready for those all important ‘-Grammable’ selfies and the portable charger (bought from WHSmith, of course) is ready to keep your phone full of juice, perfect for filming that all important bass-drop!
Coco Di Mama Creamy Salmon Alfredo
An absolute festival newbie, who’ll need those carbs to power through four days in a tent.
Looking for something a little more exotic, you’ll likely be found in the tent listening to obscure folk music or undertaking a circus skills class, whilst your friends are at the main stage, Just love to be different!
Chozen Noodle Red Thai Chicken
Music is spice of life. Need we say more? You’ve packed your guitar, you might not even go to any stages to see any bands.
It’s all about good friends, good food and a few days away from work.
Costa Coffee Black Americano.
It’s heavy metal to not have any milk - you like your choice of festival clothing like you enjoy your coffee; black!
Probably found headbanging or in a mosh pit; constantly looking for an excuse to do either, doesn’t even have to be at a festival.
WHSmith Meal Deal
Avoids the big festivals, looking for something a little more quaint with a variety of local acts. Could pick up a camping chair, a newspaper and a granola bar to keep them fueled. Equally likely to buy a dinosaur-shaped sprinkler (shameless plug - available for £19.99 in WHSmith at Roadchef. Unicorn Shaped Sprinkler also available).
Mixes up their meal deal regularly and posts it on Facebook to be ‘rated’; we’d say Chicken and Stuffing, Flamin’ Hot Doritos, Ribena are the top tier Meal Deal Trio by the way!
